Here’s a fantastic post I saw today!

The blog Shot of Prevention (at shotofprevention.com) has always produced first-rate material, but today it published an elegant post called How Do We Know Vaccines are Safe? which was informative, well-researched, and even beautiful to look at. It goes through the phases of clinical trials needed for any drug approval (including vaccines) and describes the monitoring systems in place to assure ongoing safety of a drug after FDA approval.

In light of the ongoing Chinese vaccine scandals in the last few months, it is reassuring to see how different our system is from those of many other countries.
